Privacy Policy
Short version: Spades Scorekeeper does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app runs entirely on your device, has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and makes no network requests.
1. Who we are
This privacy policy applies to the Spades Scorekeeper Android application (package dev.tnc.spades) published by TnC Apps. For any privacy questions, contact us at tnc.appteam@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
None. The app does not collect any personally identifiable information, device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, advertising IDs, crash reports, or analytics. It does not embed any third-party SDKs that perform tracking or telemetry.
3. Data stored on your device
To make the app useful, the following data is stored locally on your device only and never leaves it:
- Game state (player names, bids, tricks won, scores) while a game is in progress.
- Theme preference (System / Light / Dark) in
SharedPreferences. - Optional saved games that you choose to export as JSON files using the system file picker (Storage Access Framework). These files live wherever you save them; the app cannot read or delete them without your explicit action.
Uninstalling the app removes its local preferences and any data inside its private storage. JSON files you exported to your own folders or cloud drives are unaffected and remain under your control.
4. Permissions
The app requests no runtime permissions. When you save or load a game, Android shows the system file picker; the app receives access only to the single file you select, only for that operation.
5. Network and ads
The app does not connect to the internet. There are no advertisements, no in-app purchases, and no remote configuration.
6. Children's privacy
The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. There are no accounts, social features, or user-generated content shared with others.
7. Third-party services
None. The app does not integrate analytics, crash reporting, advertising networks, or any other third-party SDK that processes user data.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy is ever updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app's release notes on Google Play.
